Ewan loves to celebrate birthdays! This week for mama's birthday he designed a cake (that made mama teary) with daddy and enjoyed a very large slice.

Darby's doctor is still impressed by her --- 25.6 pounds, 31.9 inches, extremely communicative, insanely social, and a fireball that must be watched!

For Darby's 1st Birthday we made a donation to the San Francisco Zoo, specifically to the new tropical rainforest and aviary building. This weekend we went to see the new space and showed Darby her name!

52 : 19 (part 4)

One of Ewan's favorite weekend activities  is going to the movies. This past weekend we took him and his best girl to see Minions. He is such a champ in the movies, as long as he has his popcorn, juice and fruit snacks he is set. His sister on the other hand cramped his style a little bit, but with his sweet big brother heart he forgave her.

52 : 18 (part 4)

You are a true patriot Ewan, happy 4th of July! This year you learned the pledge of allegiance and proudly shouted it for anyone that would listen. Our favorite line is definitely "and to the repugic"... and the part where you throw your arms up at the end to emphasize "justice for all" is pretty darn cute too!

Happy 4th Darby! The pomp and circumstance of the flag definitely confused you, but you were very in to the hot dogs and watermelon. Friends say you would love to attend some of the Independence Day parades in the area, maybe next year little lady!

This picture perfectly epitomizes Darby to us. It's hard to explain, but she is the perfect balance of sugar and spice... adorable dress and matching moccasins with a bundle of bugs! When we opened her class newsletter and saw this picture we could not help but smile.
