52 : 16 (part 7)
This week Ewan enjoyed his first camp of Summer '18. This kid lives the life and has a summer of amazing camps lined up... and Mama has a Google doc to try and ensure he is dropped, picked up, properly dressed, and fed all summer. The first camp was art camp and our little artist loved it, he is talking about pop art and dreaming about life as a world renowned reclaimed materials artist.

We are calling this the official start to summer - we spent the day at our friend Rebecca's pool, which Darby insisted was a hotel. We ate snacks, drank juice, and splashed around until Darby could not keep her eyes open!

52 : 15 (part 7)
I'm not crying... you are crying. The start of Kindergarten was emotional, and the end was wrenching. Thinking about all the growth Ewan experienced this year is tear inducing and seeing the pride on his face when he was the ONLY kid in his class with perfect attendance had every parent weepy, and begging us for our secrets. This week deserved 3 pictures.

We have been waiting a long time for this - Incredibles 2 came out this week and we had a family date to see it. We laughed a lot and are sure we will see this movie a few more times this summer. Darby insisted on bringing her new Cabbage Patch doll Jimmie with us, her dress has sprinkles on it and she smells like a cupcake so of course she needed to come!

52 : 14 (part 7)
So much anticipation... the kids waited a couple years but the parents waited 14! We had a special family date to see Incredibles 2 on opening night. Something tells me we will see this film many many times this summer and we will laugh our butts off every time... that raccoon and the happy platter - SOLID!

This weekend we supported a great cause (Make A Wish) with one of our favorite activities (Yoga)! Darby rocked the family practice and had a lot of fun until Q came along - Q is the mascot for the Quakes who play at the stadium where we hosted the event, he is big and blue and fuzzy and not Darby's favorite.

52 : 13 (part 7)
This guy asked Mama on a date and she was so flattered she paid :) so happy that at 6 he still wants these special times with me, he will be 14 and asking to be dropped off blocks away from his destination soon enough... and boy are those new teeth heinous.

Distance can be hard and Mama has been away for work a lot this Spring --- the cuddles are supreme when I get home and when I can't be FaceTime helps (although sometimes it hurts a bit too).
