52 : 47 (part 5)

Sunshine makes Ewan very happy. Last week in Hawaii he played hard in the ocean, swam like crazy off the big slide at our hotel, relaxed in the pirate ship pool, ate a ton of spam, and enjoyed a lot of treats along the way.

Darby is so ready to be a big girl. She loves being picked up at school first so that she can go get Ewan and for just a few minutes pretend to be a Bat Ray too. As soon as she enters the room she jumps in to whatever activity her brother is doing and is rather sure she is equal to all the 4/5s.

Darby decided to quit diapers cold turkey in 2017 so her Grampy sent along some potty presents (Ariel of course) for a job well done as she basically potty trained herself!

52 : 45 (part 5)

A new year and a new favorite hobby, movie dates with Aubrey that Mama and Daddy do not go on... Aubrey's Dad drove up, we buckled Ewan in, and they drove away. We were not quite sure what to do with ourselves.

When presented with an invitation to a family dinner party we were a bit worried that Darby would get bored and we would not be able to have much fun, but in typical Darby fashion she was the life of the party, a super good girl, and she impressed the grown-ups with her Star Wars knowledge.

As a result of Ewan's Christmas loot he has spent the last 10 days doing legos... he does sets labeled up to age 10 with minimal help and doesn't hear anything while he builds.
